The YouTuber Book Tag | Original

🎉 Hey everybody! It’s my one year blogiversary! 🎉Technically, I officially started my blog in 2016, buuuut I posted one book review and didn’t post anything until the 5th of June 2017 when I really had a plan for my blog and wanted to take it more seriously.

I’ve been doing Tag Tuesday since the start of my blog and since I love Tag Tuesday soooo much, I was in class one day and just decided to create my own book tag. I looked everywhere and as far as I’m concerned, I don’t think anyone has done this, if someone has, please tell me. There is a YouTuber Book tag but that’s just talking about the books that those YouTubers have published. This is inspired by the meme book tag and the vine book tag, but anyway, let’s get right into my book tag!

By the way, this tag is split into two parts, the first part are YouTubers that are already named, and the second is part is where you name your own YouTubers.

Rules

  • Pingback me, the creator, so I can also see your answers
  • Pingback the person who tagged you

Shane Dawson – favorite book that was published (over) 10 years ago

I’m usually pretty up to date with the books I read, but when reading some classic series, those bad boys are published a while ago. Such as Percy Jackson. So for this, I am going with Battle of the Labyrinth, my favorite book from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. That book was so good.

The Shaytards – favorite fictional family

The Spiers are such family goals. Simons family from Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, is what every fictional family should be. They are surprisingly actually existent, which is a very rare occurrence in YA fiction.

Pewdiepie – favorite hyped booked

For this one it has to be A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. The book is miles better than the first one, I read it two years ago and I still remember very important aspects to it, and scenes, which just never happens. A Court of Mist and Fury truly is perfection.

Tana Mongeau – trash but good trash

Now, I don’t love Tana Mongeau, but she does have a few very memorable moments and she is entertaining to watch. So, just as enjoyable, I’m picking Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. The series is super gripping and I eat it up like candy, but it is kind of trash.

Nerdy Nummies – favorite book treats

Now what I mean with book treats is just something that a character might of eaten in a book, or baked, or cooked. Basically food in books. And for this, I am going with Molly’s egg-free raw cookie dough recipie from The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. Still thinking about it after so long, I just want to make it for myself, it sounds so delicious.

Logan & Jake Paul – overrated hyped book

if i stay.jpg

Now, I can’t talk about The Cruel Prince again, but I can definitely talk about If I Stay by Gayle Forman. A lot of people like this novel, but I really don’t get it. Obviously what happens to the main character ( I forgot her name) is terrible and I wouldn’t wish that upon anybody, but the book is half her in a coma, half her memories, and I feel like the book would have been a lot better if it were a love story with a plot twist car crash at the end, but If I Stay just was not for me.

<< favorite YouTube friendship >> – favorite book friendship

My favorite YouTube friendship is honestly Shane Dawson and his gang. Shane, Garett, Ryland, Andrew I just love watching their videos because they are so funny. And my favorite book friendship is the Inner Circle from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. The way that Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel call each other brother honestly warms my heart.

<< favorite YouTuber >> – favorite book of the year so far

Surprise, my favorite YouTuber is Shane Dawson. I love watching his videos because they’re always so versitile. And my favorite book of the year so far is actually really hard for me to pin point, I’ve had a shockingly good reading year so far. But, I think I’d have to go with Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. Illuminae has completely caught me by storm and I can’t stop loving it.

<< favorite BookTuber >> – favorite relatable character

So I think BookTubers are very relatable for all of us, since we all love books and for me personally, my favorite BookTuber is Insane Reader. I love the classic BookTubers like JesseTheReader and Emmmabooks, obviously, but Caleb is just so funny and I love how he isn’t as polished as most of the BookTubers. And I think it’s a given that Cath from Fangirl is the most relatable charcter for me. She’s also not that much of a people-person, she is very deeply obsessed with fandoms, and everytime I read the book it’s so easy for me to slip into Caths character.

<< favorite small YouTuber  >> – favorite underrated book

My favorite small YouTuber is another BookTuber, Paperbackdreams. I love watching smaller BookTubers because, again, they don’t feel as polished as the big BookTubers. And they don’t show the exact same books in every book haul. Like, yes, you go get your sponsored video, but please make it more versatile. And my favorite underrated book is It Only Happens in the Movies by Holly Bourne (surprise). It’s so good and I feel like everyone should read it because it’s so different from the usual contemporaries.

<< favorite beauty guru >> – favorite beautiful book cover

My favorite beauty guru is James Charles. He’s not like the usual beauty gurus who show me what’s in their bag or their everyday make up routine, he is much more original and creative. I think we can all agree that the best part of A Court of Frost and Starlight is the book cover. It’s so beautiful, I have it showing outwards on my bookshelf, because you just can’t only show the spine.

<< favorite YouTube comedian >> – favorite laugh out loud book

In my opinion, the oldies are the goodies. My favorite YouTube ‘comedian’ is Jenna Marbles. She’s always mixing stuff up and doing what she wants, plus she comes across as a genuinely good person. And my favorite laugh out loud book is basically every Rick Riordan book. Every time I read a Rick Riordan book, I’m laughing, I’m having a good time, the jokes are gold.

I tag:

Kathy @ Books & Munches

Kay Wisteria @ Hammock of Books

Winged Cynic @ Cynic on Wings

Kristin @ Kristin Kraves Books

Whitney @ Whit Reads Lit

Thanks for reading my tag, I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for a year, it feels so surreal. Thank you for being here and to many more years! 🤗🤗

  1. Ooh, happy one year anniversary! Mine is coming up on the 10th (haha it’s so funny how we started around the same time) and I’m still brainstorming what post to commemorate it. 😉 Also, great answers! I love the Percy Jackson series, Cruel Prince IS def overhyped, and I also love Paperback Dreams; her rants are heavenly lmao. 🙂

Thank you so much for tagging me! I will def have lots of fun doing this one. Cheers! ❤
